Self massage for Glutes & Psoas
This self treatment massage video by Kelly is great. Using a lacrosse ball working into the Gluts and psoas (hip flexors). I use a sliotar and keep it under my desk often rolling my foot over it to stretch out plantar fascia. If you leave the ball hanging around you will pick it up and use it. A sliotar works but i think the ridge on it is more a hindrance than a benefit. The balls that fly around your dryer work well… Tennis ball no good.
With any self treatment massage eg the stick for the IT band, get a therapist to work out the knots first then keep on top of it by using self treatment. Very unlikely self treatment would remove a knot as you won’t use enough specific pressure.
